Overview

The Char Dham Yatra is India’s most prestigious Himalayan pilgrimage, involving a circuit of four holy sites in Uttarakhand - Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. The Char Dham Yatra is much more than a road trip; it is a profound spiritual circuit designed to cleanse the soul. In Hindu tradition, it is believed that every person should perform this pilgrimage at least once to attain Moksha (liberation).


Best Time to Visit

  • Summer (March to June): Ideal for sightseeing and adventure sports with pleasant temperatures between 10°C and 25°C.
  • Winter (October to February): Best for witnessing snowfall and engaging in winter sports like skiing; temperatures can drop below -5°C.

Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi to Haridwar (8 Hours / 200 Kms)

Arrival at Delhi and you would be greet by our representative. Lets start your Chardham pilgrimage tour by Cab. Depart for Haridwar.

Reach at Haridwar and checkin to the hotel. Have dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Haridwar.

Day 02: Haridwar to Barkot (8 Hours / 200 Kms)

After breakfast, depart for Barkot via Mussoorie.

In the evening, checkin at the hotel in Barkot. Have dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Barkot.

Day 03: Barkot to Yamunotri (36 Km Drive / 6 Km Trek)

Early morning drive to Jankichatti. The 6 km trek to Yamunotri Dham will start from Jankichatti. One can take Pony / Palki service available at Jankichatti. The trek from Jankichatti to Yamunotri Temple offers green forest path with wide variety of flora and fauna.

After darshan at Yamunotri temple, return back to Jankichatti. Drive back to Barkot and rest of the day.

Day 04: Barkot to Uttarkashi (4 Hours / 100 Km)

After breakfast, depart for Uttarkashi. Check in at the hotel in Uttarkashi.

In the evening visit to famous Kashi Vishwanath temple in Uttarkashi. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Kashi Vishwanath is one of the oldest temples in North India situated on the banks of Bhagirathi river. The temple was built by Sage Parshuram and later renovated by the Maharani of Tehri State in 1857.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Uttarkashi.

Day 05: Uttarkashi to Gangotri (3-4 Hours / 100 Km each side)

Early in the morning, drive to Gangotri Dham.

Enroute witness the beauty of Harsil valley. Harsil is famous for its natural beauty and for the majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains. After arrival in Gangotri, performing Darshan and Pooja at Gangotri Dham and also take a dip in the holy river Ganga. Return back to Uttarkashi.

Day 06: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (7-8 Hours / 210 Km)

After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi. The road route drive along beautiful Mandakini River to reach Guptkashi.

Check in at the hotel in Gupkashi. In the evening visit some of the most popular places of the Guptkashi town.

Day 07: Guptkashi to Kedarnath (30 Km Drive and 19 Km Trek)

Early morning drive to Sonprayag. Take shared taxi from Sonprayag to Gaurikund, fare to be paid by pilgrims.

Start 18 kms trek to Kedarnath Dham. You can take a helicopter service to Kedarnath from Guptkashi, Phata or Sirsi. At Gaurikund you can also take pony / palki to reach the Kedarnath at your own cost. After reaching the Kedarnath, visit the Kedarnath temple at evening Aarti and Pooja. Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga in India. Witness the positive vibes at Kedarnath.

Overnight stay in Kedarnath.

Day 08: Kedarnath to Guptkashi (30 Km Drive and 19 Km Trek)

After the morning Pooja and Darshan at Kedarnath Temple, return back to Gaurikund and Sonprayag. You can visit the pilgrimage places in the Sonprayag. Return back to the Guptkashi.

Overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Day 09: Guptkashi to Badrinath (7-8 Hours / 210 Km)

After breakfast, drive to Badrinath. Arrival in Badrinath, checkin at the hotel in Badrinath. After freshen up at hotel, take a dip in the Tapt Kund and visit the Badrinath temple in the evening. There are many other places like Mana and Vyas Gufa. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus).

Day 10: Badrinath to Rudraprayag (160 Km)

After breakfast, drive to the Rudraprayag.

Visit some of the famous places in Joshimath like Narsingh Temple. Return back to Rudraprayag.

Day 11: Rudraprayag to Haridwar (5-6 Hours / 165 Km)

In the morning, drive to the Haridwar via Rishikesh. Enroute visit to Devprayag, confluence of Bhaghirathi & Alaknanda river.

Later proceed to the Haridwar. Visit to Pawan Dham and famous Bharat Mata Temple in Haridwar.

Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 12: Haridwar to Delhi (8 Hours / 200 Kms)

In the morning, drive to Delhi. Drop at Delhi Airport / Railway station.

Tour ends here with happy memories.
